Michael Tooma is partner of global law firm Clyde & Co. He is the author of numerous books on Work Health and Safety law. He is consistently recognised as one of the leading legal practitioners in health and safety. In addition to practice, Michael has taught at various tertiary institutions. Michael is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Health and Safety and a recipient of its Lifetime Achievement Award for contribution to health and safety.
Mary-Louise McLaws is a Professor of Epidemiology, Hospital Infection and Infectious Diseases Control at UNSW Sydney. In February 2020 she was appointed to the World Health Organization Health Emergencies Program Experts Advisory Panel for Infection Control for COVID-19. Prior to COVID-19 Mary-Louise was WHO Advisor to China and Malaysia during infection surveillance system development and has been an advisor to WHO on several global projects over the last two decades. She worked in HIV pandemic, reviewed the 2003 SARS outbreak in Hong Kong and Beijing, and provided infection prevention support to the Commonwealth pandemic influenza preparedness task force.
