PPS clauses in franchise agreement – bailment of items constituting a security interest This precedent contains personal property securities clauses for inclusion in a franchise agreement where items supplied by the franchisor to the franchisee may be reclaimed either at the end of an agreed period or on default. This precedent assumes that the items are supplied on a longer term basis and the arrangement is either PPS lease or the items are “in substance” security interests.
