Rodger Fernandez


Dr Rodger Fernandez is an Adjunct Professor of Law Victoria University, School of Law. He is the Chair of the Law Institute of Victoria, Advisory Committee to the Specialisation Board (Immigration Law).


He currently practices as a barrister and solicitor in the Supreme Court of Victoria and High Court of Australia, and as a solicitor for the Supreme Court of NSW. He is listed in the Financial Review's ‘Australia’s Best Lawyers’ and ‘Lawyers of the Year 2017’.


Murray Gerkens


Professor Gerkens is a practising lawyer and currently teaches the Graduate Certificate in Australian Migration Law and Practice at Victoria University.


Prior to joining the University he was a Senior Magistrate with the Victorian Magistrate’s Court. He has served on various Disciplinary Boards and Tribunals and was the Principal Member and Member Administrator of the Refugee Review Tribunal.


Dominic Yua


Dominic Yau is an Associate Professor in the Victorian College of Law & Justice. He has practiced as a barrister and solicitor in the Supreme Court of Victoria and High Court of Australia and a solicitor in the Supreme Court of New South Wales.


Sherene Ozyurek


Sherene Ozyurek is a Lecturer in the Victorian College of Law & Justice. She is a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Victoria and the High Court of Australia, and Law Institute of Victoria Accredited Specialist (Immigration Law).
