Author

Nonna Martinov-Bennie is a Professor of Accounting and Director of the International Governance and Performance (IGAP) Research Centre in the Faculty of Business and Economics at Macquarie University. Prior to this appointment she held positions at the University of New South Wales and the University of Sydney. Before her involvement in academia, Nonna was a Senior Audit Manager with Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu managing audit teams for major corporate audit clients. Nonna is a FCPA and FCA and continues to be actively involved with the profession as a member of several committees including the ICAA Audit Advisory Committee, ICAA Research Committee and CIMA Australian Centre of Excellence Board. Nonna is also a member of the Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (AUASB), a joint editor of Managerial Auditing Journal, and associate editor (assurance and governance) of Australian Accounting Review.

Peter Roebuck is an Associate Professor at the Business School, The University of New South Wales. Peter has previously worked as a Senior Manager in Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu and has international auditing experience. Peter maintains close ties with both the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and CPA Australia, being a Fellow of both professional bodies. Peter is also currently the Chair of the Institute of Internal Auditors ¬– Australia’s Academic Review Committee.

Dominic Soh is a Lecturer at the Faculty of Business and Economics at Macquarie University. Dominic has previously worked in auditing, management accounting, and in a technical role at the Institute of Internal Auditors – Australia. Dominic actively researches in corporate governance and internal and external auditing and assurance and maintains close ties with professional bodies including through his involvement in the development of assessment and course material for the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia (ICAA) Audit & Assurance (AAA) Module in the Chartered Accountants Program, and for the Institute of Internal Auditors – Australia’s Graduate Certificate in Internal Auditing (GCIA).
